Why am I receiving this message when trying to import an asset '17 columns were found in this row. Rows must contain 16 items' when importing assets in Accounts > Fixed Assets > Import Assets?

There is a problem with the CSV file.
This is because there is a comma located in the excel file. If there are any commas in the file this will start a new column even if used to separate two words.
Remove any commas located in the file and then import the fixed asset again and this will appear with no errors.
