Previously when the 'Mandatory Vehicle Selection' was ticked against internal charges in Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Ledger Parameters > Internal Charges is ticked, stock numbers were pre populated against the Miscellaneous Charges pop up when adding an INTER line to a PDI job.
This happened whether a vehicle is finalised or not. The issue this was causing is that this Stock Number would only show against the nominal posting on Workshop Jobs, whereby the vehicle has been finalised. (If you were to drill into the stock card locator, the stock number is not available to be selected, despite it being prepopulated)
With the new process, the stock number will only be prepopulated on jobs where the vehicle has been finalised, and if the vehicle is not selected, you will be unable to invoice the job.
Users can work around this by using one of the following:
- Select a different internal charge (one where the mandatory vehicle selection option is not required)
- Delete the line and reraise to a different account
- Finalise the vehicle so you are able to select the vehicle
