Question

How can I add a new row to the Balance Sheet?

Answer

In order to add a new row onto the Balance Sheet you will need to add a Totalling Code.

To do this you will need to do the following:

Go to Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Ledger Parameters > Master Codes

You will need to ensure that the code you are using is not in use and becomes before or after the code that is shown within the Balance Sheet in order to add the row.

For Example: the code showing in the Balance sheet is W99999 You will need to use either W99998 or X000001.

Input the available code, then click on Add

From here you can add Master code details

Please note: You will need to add a level to your code in order to advise which column you would like your total to appear in and this also helps to indicate what this total includes within your balance sheet. The higher the code the more of an overall total you will get

Once completed, click Save

Your code will now be active.

You will now need to allocate the code to a department in order for this to show within your balance sheet. You will need to:

1. Search for the code you have just created - double click into this to bring up your department selection on the right hand side.

2. Double click on Branch level - A pop up will appear 'Do you wish to allocate this code'

3. Select Yes

Your code will now appear within the balance sheet.
