How can I rename a Nominal Code?

To rename a nominal code, there are 2 areas in the system which this must be done.
Firstly at the Master Code level.
We need to go to Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Ledger Parameters > Master Codes tab.
Find your code you want to change in here.
Double click on your code, click amend and you have the option to change the description in here. This will change the description for things such as searches.
Once you click Save you will see the screen refresh and see your change made.
We also need to change this in the Transaction Codes tab however, this will ensure that the change is reflected on reports such as your profit and loss.
To do this, in the Transaction Codes tab, enter your code and click search.
Once it has come up in the search (with the description we changed earlier) single click on this and click Amend. You will be able to amend the description in here and then click Save.
