How can I prevent any further transactions being posted on an account that has exceeded their credit limit/has overdue balances?
Answer
You can put an account on stop in the Sales Ledger, by going to Accounts > Sales Ledger > Transaction Accounts.
You can use any of the four search boxes to find an account:
Once the account has been located, you can double click the account, or highlight the account (click once) and click amend to proceed to the next screen:
Now click βAmendβ at the bottom right corner of the page. This will allow you to edit the account and change the account status to on stop or not on stop:
Once βOn Stopβ has been ticked, click save.
The account will now be shown as βOn Stopβ
