What is the process of transferring Bin Locations within the system?
Answer
If you go to Parts > Maintenance > Bin Location > Transfer - you will be displayed with the following screen.
This screen will display all the available Bin locations that have the ability to be transferred, which will be any BIN location that is linked to an active Part record. Either search for a specific Bin or select one from the list.
Double click on the BIN you wish to transfer and you will see that it goes into the 'Selected Bin Locations' window to the right (see below).
At this point you can then select which location you wish this to be transferred to, by selecting the search button highlighted below.
Double click the Bin Location you wish it to be transferred to.
Once selected, click the transfer button in the bottom right corner of the screen and it will bring up the confirmation box. Click yes for the Bin Location to complete the transfer.
Finally - after this has been completed it will show you how many Parts have been updated.
