Can I Delete a Part Record?
Answer
In Pinewood DMS you cannot delete a part but they can be deactivated. If deactivated, all the parts history is retained and the part record can be reactivated at any time.
De-activated parts will be omitted from stock take prints, but can be included using the Add Part process.
To deactivate a part go to: Parts > Maintenance > Create/Amend
Search the part number
As long as there are 0 customer orders, 0 supplier orders and the stock holding is 0, you will be able to select the βDeleteβ button on the bottom right of the part card.
When you select the βDeleteβ button, the system will confirm whether you want to delete this part. Select βYesβ and you will now see an additional note on the part record to advise this part has been deactivated on what date & the option to reactivate.
