Question

Why is the discount not being applied when issuing parts to a workshop job, but a discount has been applied where the parts are issued to the sale account but over the counter through Parts > Sales > Invoice this will be due to the discount matrix being set up incorrectly?

Answer

You will need to go to Parts > Parameters > Sales Discounts > Standard – Percentages Tab.

From here there is a drop down that allows you to select the counter Type.

If you check the discount setup for the front counter - This would be for parts sold through Parts > Sale > Invoice

Back counter would be for parts sold through Parts > Sales > Workshop issue

You will need to check the percentage that is setup for the account in question for both of these β€œCounter Types” to find a where a discount is not setup or setup differently.

You can see the account of discount that is being applied by hovering over the Discount on the issue/ sale screen.

Here you can see the Counter type.

It is important to understand that the more specific discount will override the more general discounts.

This means if you have setup a Front Counter Discount and have one for all. When you come to sell parts through Parts > Sales > Invoice the more specific discount that you setup for Front Counter and when you go to issue parts to a workshop job it will use the All counter type. This is unless you have a back counter discount setup.
