How do I manually create a part?
Answer
The process of creating a manual part can also be done in the invoice screen, workshop
issues screen, supplier orders screen and through receipts.
After entering the new part number and pressing enter the search for a part window is
displayed.
A search of the currently created parts will have been done. The results, based on the part
number entered and will display possible matches. If a match is found, double clicking the part will select it.
To create new parts press the ‘Create Part’ button.
This will open the search for a franchise part window, the Franchise file to be searched must
be selected and then press the ‘Search’ button.
Upon the part number not being on the franchise file, the ‘Manual’ button can be selected.
The part record screen will then be shown. The screen will automatically have some
information populated depending on the Mask; the rest must be populated manually.
Minimum mandatory information must be populated and the part record can be saved.
