I am trying to return parts but it says there is insufficient stock holding?
Answer
If when trying to return parts it states there is insufficient stock holding, the probable cause is that the parts are still on Customer Order.
If we view the below example part record, in the Customer Order box, we can see there is a 2.
If we drill into the box, this will show us the details regarding this customer order.
If the Order is no longer required and the parts are to be returned, then the Customer Order must be cancelled.
This can be done by navigating to Parts > Customer Orders > Customer Orders > Outstanding.
Locate the desired Customer Order by using any of the search fields and selecting the 'Search' button. You can select the Search button with no search criteria and this will return all Outstanding Customer Orders.
Select the Order for deletion and select the 'Delete' button.
At this stage it will prompt 'Are you sure you want to delete this Customer Order'. To process the deletion press yes, if you do not wish to proceed select no.
Once yes is selected, you will then be asked if you wish to refund this deposit.
Select Yes to Refund or No to Retain.
