Question
When issuing parts against a workshop job, why do the issued parts carry a Retail price instead of a Cost price?
Answer
If a user tries to issue a part against a workshop job just like the one below:
Pinewood DMS can pull the Retail price of the part against the job instead of the Cost price. This is usually is linked against the Account value listed against the job and is shown here:
In order to setup Pinewood DMS to issue parts with the Cost value instead of the Retail value against that account, a user is required to navigate to Parts > Parameters > Account Parameters > Enquiry Tab and search for the Account
Once in the account parameters, scroll down to the Parts Price field within the Invoicing section. The value set here should state Retail, this will need to change to Cost:
In order to change the value to Cost, the user will be required to click on the Amend button:
Then change the value from Retail to Cost by selecting Cost in the drop down list:
Once changed, click on the Save button:
