How do I delete a vehicle with outstanding preparation/miscellaneous costs?
Answer
If you want to delete a vehicle and the system comes up with the following error:
This means that there are prep costs added to this particular vehicle and you will need to remove them before you are able to delete it.
If you have added prep costs to your vehicle you can see them by going to:
Vehicles > Stock Management > Preparation Costs and look for the vehicle in question:
Please Note: The vehicle will need to have a status of In Stock in order to access the vehicle in the above area.
If you want to delete this particular vehicle, you would need to first reverse the prep costs added to it. You can do that by going back to Vehicles > Stock Management > Preparation Costs and add the same type of costs with the same amount (which however should be a negative value to do this add a minus in front of the figures).
This action will reverse the prep costs and will allow you to delete this vehicle as originally intended. You can do that by Reversing the vehicle out of stock from Vehicles > Bring Into Stock > Reverse and then Delete it by going to Vehicles > Supplier Orders > Delete Vehicle
