How to convert a Vehicle into a Demonstrator (including Nominal Posting detail)?
Answer
If you want to turn a New Vehicle into a Demonstrator, you will need to go to:
Vehicles > Bring into Stock > Demonstrator
Please Note: ensure you select the correct period you need to create the demonstrator within.
You will need to then look for the vehicle in question using the available search criteria.
You will need to ensure there are no open workshops jobs before starting this process.
Best practise would be to push all lines, costs and bonus to the used stock card after demo process has been actioned.
Click into the result and you need to fill in the information below:
Once ready, you will need to press Next.
The vehicle will be shown as invoiced and the Used demonstrator stock card will appear as a part exchange vehicle attached to it.
The nominal code set up for a new to demo process can be found using the following steps:
Vehicles > Parameters > Parameters
Click the ‘Type of Sale’ tab
Select the Type of Sale Group the New to Demo Type of Sale has been set up in and then select the Type of Sale:
On the right-hand side of the screen, users are able to see the nominal that will be used when converting a New Vehicle to Demonstrator.
To view the Nominal Postings from the New to Demo routine, go to:
Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Enquiry
Select ‘Stock Number’ as the type
Enter Start and End Date
Select Branch
Type in Stock Number
Click Display
