Within Vehicles - Parameters - Parameters - Contact plans

When a vehicle is sold you can set up vehicle contact plans to enhance your customers experience, gain feedback and make sure the customer is followed up on.

These can be customised by type of sale and whether the vehicle is new or used. Pressing add will give the following pop up box.

Contact plan: The name of the contact plan

Vehicle type: Choose either new or used

Type of sale group: This can be set as all or you can specify a specific group that will receive this plan

Type of sale: This is only available if a specific group is chosen above. You can still choose the all option or you can choose a specific type of sale for this contact plan

Order email: This works in conjunction with the customer order email you can switch on in the vehicle parameters (covered in another article). If you enter an email here this is where customer order emails will go.

You can also access this page by single clicking the plan and pressing edit. Or you can press delete to remove this plan.

Once the plan has been set up you can then add events into the plan. If you double click on a plan the bottom half of the screen becomes active.

 You can add an event to the contact plan by pressing the add button. You then get the following pop up box.

O/D/K: This drop down chooses whether the contact is direct at the owner, driver or the keeper if these are separate people.

Description: Name of the contact

Contact category: If this is for sales, parts or service

Contact reason: What reason will be against the future contact on the customers CRM record (set up in CRM parameters, this is covered in another article)

Contact method: What method the customer will be contact by I.e. email, phone etc

Email type: If a contact method of email has been chosen then you can choose an email type of either future contacts, contact plan email or contact plan survey (these are set up in CRM parameters which will be covered in another article)

Contact value/contact period: These two work in conjunction with one another. This decides when each event will be sent out. The contact period allows you to choose a unit of time, either day, week, month or year and the value is how many days, weeks, months etc that you want this to go.

Assigned to: This allows you to specify who will be doing this contact or whose name will be against this contact

Letter/Email/Survey name: If a method of either letter or email is used you can choose the name of the letter, email or survey you wish to send. These are set up in the CRM parameters which is covered in another article.

Contact plan code: These can be set up in the button at the bottom of the contact plan screen. These are used to link product sales and contact plans together, product sales will be covered in another article.

Any of these events can be edited or deleted at any time by single clicking the event and selecting the edit or delete button.
