Within Vehicles > Parameters > Vehicle Data
Various items are set up in here which populate multiple places within the vehicle module and within CRM records.
There are three sections. Vehicle items, profile and locations, and type of sale details. You can double click on any item within these categories and press the new button to add a new item.
Body styles/Fuel types/Transmissions/Insurance groups: Any data added to any of these will be present within the new vehicle price list under the specification section. This field is also available on the vehicle stock card and CRM record.
Interiors: This is a drop down which must be chosen when creating a supplier order for a vehicle. This can later be amended in the vehicle stock card and CRM record.
Colour groups: These help categorise any colours added at the model level within the vehicle price list. This is also available within the vehicle stock card and CRM record.
Options: Anything added here is available when creating a used vehicle stock card or CRM record. These can also be linked to any options created at model level in the new vehicle price list.
Option categories: This allows options to be grouped into categories.
Options and option categories can be deleted if they are double clicked, however the rest of the above list cannot be deleted but can be re-mapped. If you use the re-map range button you can effectively merge two items together.
Locations: These are used to record the physical location of the vehicle and must be entered when the vehicle is brought into stock but can be changed later via the stock card.
A description is mandatory when adding a new location but you can also add a dealer code and a branch or department when setting these up.
Profiles: These can be used to categorise stock vehicles e.g. as demonstrator or courtesy car etc. This is also a mandatory field when bringing a vehicle into stock but can be selected at supplier order stage or changed later via the stock card.
When setting up a new profile the following info is required.
Description: The name of the profile.
New/Used: This can be used to make profiles available for only new or used vehicles or you can set this as both.
Datapoint stock profile: This determines the grouping of vehicles within datapoint reporting.
Prevent changes: Ticking this option means once the profile has been selected it cannot be changed to another profile.
Present only on receipt: If this option is ticked this profile will only be available when bringing the vehicle into stock.
