The Desired Vehicle tab is used to store information related to the vehicle in which the customer has shown interest in purchasing the future.
This screen may be used by a dealership to record customer requirements in the following scenarios:
- The customer is interested in a vehicle that is not currently held in stock but which could be sourced externally on their behalf.
- The customer is interested in a vehicle that is not yet available to order from a manufacturer β possibly coinciding with the announcement of a new model or specification by the manufacturer.
- The customer has enquired on a stock vehicle but is unwilling to sufficiently commit to the purchase to warrant the raising of a quote or customer order.
Any quotes previously provided to the customer are displayed in the box on the top right-hand side of the screen, and can be accessed again by double-clicking on the line for the quote in yellow. This functionality is available until the quote is converted to a customer order.
To begin the process of raising a quote for a vehicle, select the βNew Quoteβ or βUsed Quoteβ option from the bottom of the screen.
Vehicles that are being purchased by the customer are also displayed in the desired vehicle tab under the Ordered & Purchased vehicle section.
By double clicking on any vehicles listed the user is taken into the stock card of that particular vehicle.
Any optional extras that a customer may require can also be recorded using the βOptional Extrasβ field on the bottom right hand side of the screen.
The final option at the bottom of the Desired Vehicle tab is the βMatchβ button. This option is used to automatically search stock within the dealership or dealer group to allow a salesperson to locate a vehicle matching the requirements of the customer.
Within the Desired Vehicle tab of the CRM record a Test Drive button is available. This functionality can only be enabled on request to Pinewood. When selected a print preview of the Test Drive Declaration form populated with the customer and Desired vehicle will be loaded onto the document.
