Why is it necessary to add a tax number for VAT exempt orders?
Answer
The reason users are forced to add in a tax number during the customer order process is due to auditing purposes for themselves. They need to be able to show why they have made the sale at 0% VAT and this is also why we advise not to use their own internal VAT number to skip this, as they will have to answer to the auditors.
