Question

How to bring used vehicles on to the supplier order?

Answer

This guide will show you how to bring a used vehicle onto supplier order, this is for vehicles that need to be brought in from Manufactures Approved Used, Motability or auction vehicles. This guide does not cover vehicles that have come from being a part ex vehicle.

Start by going into the Vehicles Module > Supplier Orders > Used Vehicle

Click New in the bottom right corner.

A pop up menu will open, just press close

You will then be able to select a vehicle supplier, you can either enter a pre-entered supplier, such as manufacture or a commonly used company (e.g. Motability, BCA, etc)

Or you can enter a customer if it is a direct purchase off a customer or a company that is not on the suppliers, and enter the details on the system.

You can then accept this and then input the vehicle reg, that you want to bring onto supplier order.

Press the search  icon next to where you inputted the reg.

It will then ask you for the millage of the vehicle, enter the current millage if you have vehicle look up integration enabled within your system.

It should then show you the vehicle details, you should then import these and accept.

It should take you back to the previous page where you can enter the other details, these could be as follows:

Is it VAT Qualifying Vehicle?

Est Delivery Date (when will it arrive)

Location (if already on your site)

Vehicle Profile (What is it? Retail, Demo, Car User, etc)

Purchased By (Who bought the vehicle in? DP, Sales Leader BM)

You can then enter the vehicle price, and if applicable the VAT and/or the SIV values for the vehicle.

Once those are entered you can press next and will get a pop-up that will give you the option to "Print Purchase Invoice" its up to you if you print this for you records or not.

You will then get another pop up that will ask if you want to "Bring Into Stock"

If you select No it will leave the vehicle on Supplier Order and you can bring it on at a later date (commonly used when waiting for a vehicle to be delivered).

If you select Yes you can then bring the vehicle onto stock, see "Bringing Used Vehicles Onto Stock" guide.
