The Aged Debt report is used to control the money owed to the dealership on the sales ledger. This report prints outstanding customer debt and values which are shown in separate columns for each accounting period to display the age of the debt.
In the ‘Account Details’ section, specific accounting groups or rep numbers can be reported on. An account range can also be specified via the fields on the top right hand side of the screen.
The ‘Reporting Options’ section consolidates reports at different levels of the company structure if required. Finally, the ‘Period End Dates’ to be displayed can be adjusted if required. The dates in these fields dictate the bands displayed on the Aged Debt Report, and default to the nominal ledger period end dates. Once these fields have been populated, select the ‘Create Report’ option. The report is displayed within the lower half of the screen.
The ‘Expand/Collapse’ option which appears in the bottom left hand side of the screen can be used to hide the search options at the top of the screen, thus allowing a larger section of the report to be displayed.
The account code and name are displayed, along with the account balance and the total value of any unallocated receipts. The next columns display the aged debt, allowing the view of the rate at which existing debt has accumulated.
Each account code acts as a link – clicking on the line displays the transaction account.
The report can be printed or exported into Excel.
