The Pinewood DMS CRM module can be used as a powerful ad-hoc prospecting tool via the use of
Selections and the Letters functionality it contains. The processes described previously are
useful for keeping in touch day to day with customers.Β This information is often required in support of dealership launch events or specific marketing requirements. Selections may also be run to assist dealership marketing staff with the cleansing of the CRM database.
Selections provide the ability to interrogate the Customer and Vehicle databases to provide
reports or selections which can then be used for mailshot campaigns or for targeted sales calls
by a Sales or Aftersales department. A selection can be configured to focus on particular criteria
from within the customer and/or vehicle databases. Only selections that include a customer can
be used for mailshot purposes. Selections, once built, can also be saved onto the system to be
run again at a later date, or exported into Excel.
