Vehicle costs for new vehicles can be confirmed either at the end of the Bring Into Stock process or as a separate process upon receipt of either a consignment note or vehicle invoice from a supplier. If 'No' is selected to the 'Confirm Vehicle Costs' question within the Bring Into Stock process, the vehicle is brought into stock and is available to view as a stock card or on a stock list, however, no nominal postings will have been made. A status of 'Not Confirmed' will be displayed against the vehicle.
To confirm new vehicle costs go to Vehicles > Vehicle costs > Confirm New
Search for the vehicle using the search criteria provided.
Double-click on the chosen vehicle.
If this vehicle has had its costs confirmed previously you will be presented with the following.
Pressing no will exit the confirm costs screen and pressing yes will allow you to continue.
You may then be presented with the following
Pressing no will put this on the status of adopted whereas putting yes will put it on consignment.
You may also get this pop-up if the prices on the new vehicle price list have been changed recently.
Pressing no will use the old prices and pressing yes will use the new prices.
If the option to put the vehicle onto consignment is selected the screen will be as follows.
This allows you to amend all purchase prices as normal but on the right-hand side, a consignment value must be confirmed. This is done by adding the value which will default to the full value and the date and pressing add which will then move the value to the bottom portion of the screen.
If there are existing consignment values, click on them to amend the details or delete the lines.
If the option to adopt the vehicle is chosen, the screen will show as follows:
The screen is more or less the same but the consignment section is not present and a payment due date must be entered.
Pressing cancel will exit the page without saving any progress.
