How to post and cancel a VAT invoice?
Answer
Within Vehicles – Vehicle costs – VAT invoice
Search for the vehicle required and double click into the vehicle.
If posting the vehicle VAT invoice the following will be displayed.
Tax value: The amount of VAT to be posted. Clicking into the Tax box will open up the confirm costs window so that any values can be changed.
Reference: The reference attached to the VAT invoice
Date: What date this will go against
Tax Point: The period the tax invoice will be in (driven by the date)
Pressing next will post the VAT invoice.
Cancelling the VAT invoice is done through the same process of searching for the vehicle in this page. However this time the pop up will show as follows.
Pressing next will cancel the VAT invoice. If the period the VAT invoice was originally posted in is closed the following message will appear.
This will still allow the invoice to be cancelled but all postings will be in the current period.
