The process for posting preparation costs, bonus income, and depreciation is more or less the same with some subtle differences. You will find all three screens under Vehicles > Stock Management.
Preparation Costs
In the search screen find the relevant vehicle and double-click the results to open the screen.
At the top of the screen, you will see a brief vehicle description with order and sale information if it is available and there is a link to the vehicle stock card. You can click on the status field to view the status history. You will post the costs on the bottom half of the screen and you will need to fill out some information.
Date: Enter a date the cost will be posted. This can be set to a current date or one in the past but not a future date.
Reference: Enter your reference that will go against this posting.
Type: Choose from a drop-down of types of costs you are posting. The items in this list are set up in Vehicles > Parameters > Parameters under the Product Categories tab.
PL account: If you choose a miscellaneous cost linked to a purchase ledger account it will show here and open up the option to change it.
Amount: The value being posted. A negative can be entered in this field to reverse any unwanted postings.
Pressing the post button will move this to the bottom portion of the screen which will also show any previously posted costs. However, this will not have made the physical posting until the continue button is pressed. The clear new postings button will remove any postings that have just been added.
Bonus Income
This screen looks similar to the last one but with some small changes.
Again you will see the vehicle details with a link to the stock card. There are some order and sale details where available.
The postings will be made in the second half of the screen with similar information to enter.
Date: The date that the posting will be made, this can be set to the current date or a date in the past.
Reference: Enter your reference that will go against this posting.
Type: Choose from a drop-down of a Type of Bonus. The items in this menu are set up in Vehicles > Parameters > Parameters under the Bonus Income tab.
Sales Ledger Account: If one of the Bonus types has a Sales Ledger account attached in the parameter set up it will appear in this field and can be amended. You can also type a sales ledger account into this field.

Depreciation
You will need to search for a vehicle and double-click to open the depreciation screen and you will be presented to a screen similar to the previous two.
Please note that you can only post depreciation to used vehicles only so you will not be able to search for new stock.
You can see the vehicle details in the top half of the screen with the option to click on the vehicle and open the stock card. The postings are made in the second half of the screen.

Nominal Code: This is set in Vehicles > Parameters > Parameters in the Nominal Codes tab under Used Stock Codes.
Dimensions: If you are using dimensional accounting then you can drill into this field to select a dimension for this posting. If the nominal code set for depreciation is set to have dimensions as mandatory then it will not allow you to make the posting until they have been selected.
