Question
How to delete a vehicle which has a bonus income posted?
Answer
If a vehicle is showing on ‘Supplier Order’ this is because the vehicle has already been reversed out of stock. When you go to delete the Supplier Order, an error message will appear due to ‘Outstanding Costs’. This is due to the Bonus Income which was previously posted.
To delete the vehicle, you will need to bring the vehicle back into stock (Vehicles > Bring Into Stock > New or Used vehicle depending on whether it is a new or used vehicle. This will change the vehicle status to ‘In Stock’, allowing you to reverse the Bonus Income that was posted in the closed period. So, to do this you will need to post a reversal by doing a negative bonus income posting in Vehicles > Stock Management > Bonus Income.
When posting the reversal, you should be able to see the following screen:
Within the ‘Posting Details’ you will need to select the date, the relevant type, a reference and enter in the amount figure of the Bonus Income (as a minus). Once you select ‘Post’ this will be posted against the account and the Bonus Income will be reversed.
Once you have posted the reversal, you will need to reverse the vehicle back out of stock, again changing the vehicle status to ‘Supplier Order’. To do this go to Vehicles > Bring Into Stock > Reverse. Once you have selected the relevant vehicle and selected ‘Next’ the following popup will show:
Once you have selected ‘Yes’ you are sure, the vehicle status will change to ‘Supplier Order’. You will then be able to go and delete the Supplier Order in Vehicles > Supplier Order > Delete Vehicle.
The same applies if the vehicle profile is set to ‘Demonstrator’.
