📝 Sales Location is defaulting incorrectly in Customer Orders

How to prevent the sales location defaulting incorrectly to customer orders?

Answer

If the Sales Location is defaulting incorrectly this will be due to the location selected when bringing the vehicle in on Supplier Order, and the parameters set against this location.

The location of the vehicle can be set at this stage of a new supplier order:

Here when doing a used supplier order:

Or here when bringing into stock:

Then when going to Vehicles > Customer Orders > Create the Sales Location will default to the branch that has been selected against the location selected in Vehicles > Parameters > Vehicle Data.

Double click Locations under ‘Profiles and Locations’ in here, which will show as below:

To amend the Branch/ Department so the Sales Location does not default incorrectly, double click the Location and click Amend to change this over to the correct Branch or Department. Or create a new location that does not have a Branch/Department click New and create the new location with nothing selected.

Using a location without a branch/department will mean the Sales Location does not default in the Customer Order screen.
