Answer

To check a technicians current Average Cost Per Hour, you need to go to:

Workshop > Parameters > Technician Details > Details

You can then select the Technician that you want to check from the drop down

This will allow you to see their Average Cost Per Hour, that is currently set against them

If you want to check this against the technicians old Average Cost Per Hour, you will need to look at an old invoice that had this technician clocked against it, for this we will need an invoice number.

To look at a technicians old Average Cost Per Hour, we need to look at the account postings that were made for that technician in the past, to do this we need to go to:

Accounts > Nominal Ledger > Enquiry

We will be asked to select the type we want to search for:

From this list you want to select "Reference", this will then present you with a few options you can search via:

We want to enter the old invoice number in as the "Reference" and set the "Period" as any period.

We then want to click Display at the bottom of the screen, and this will show us the postings associated with this invoice.

What we want to do now is double click one of the lines displayed, and this will show us the nominal postings for the invoice in question:

We can then see on the right hand side, under "Narrative" it shows the Technician that worked on the job, and the Average Cost Per Hour, that was on the technician when the job was invoiced.

This can then be compared against the Average Cost Per Hour, that we saw were set against the technician currently to see if these values have been changed or adjusted
