Where there is no vehicle in stock or on supplier order within the system, a quote and order can be created using the New or Used Vehicle Configurator options. This process involved configuring a vehicle on the system, and upon converting the quote to customer order, creating a supplier order for the vehicle.
New Vehicle Quote - New Vehicle Configurator
It may be necessary on occasion to raise a quote against a vehicle that is not in stock or on supplier order within the system - most often in the case of a new vehicle quote that can only be fulfilled via the ordering of a specific model and specification of the vehicle from the manufacturer. To begin this process, from the customer's CRM record, select the 'Desired Vehicle' tab from the top of the screen:
Select the 'New Offer' option from the bottom of the screen highlighted in the above picture. To begin the process of creating a quote for a new vehicle that needs to be ordered from the manufacturer to fulfill the customer's requirements, select the 'New Vehicle Configurator; option which is available at the bottom of the Vehicle Enquiry screen:
Once this option has been selected, a screen is displayed allowing the user to select the vehicle make, model and specification required from the vehicle price list:
Use the drop down menus at the top of the screen to configure the vehicle to be ordered from the manufacturer to fulfill the requirements of the customer.
Once the requirements have been completed, select the 'Search' option. The system interrogates the vehicle price list to locate the vehicle required. Once located, the vehicle is displayed in the lower section of the screen:
Double click on the line for the vehicle to open the page used to build the quotation to the customer.
To proceed with the Quote, select the desired colour and interior and click Offer.
The option to Print/Email this will then appear.
Once this is printed, the user will need to update the contact history for the interaction and once complete the quote will be complete.
