How do I get out of a locked job?
Answer
If a user has not exited out of Pinewood DMS correctly, or a session ended suddenly, they may find that their account becomes stuck in that job and they are unable to get out of the job.
In order to exit a job correctly, the user must ensure that they click the 'Exit' button when leaving the job and clicking the 'Log off' button to exit their Pinnacle session. If the user clicks the red 'X' button to close down Pinnacle before exiting the job, this will lock the user into the job.
If a job is locked, only the user who is locked within the job can unlock this.
Please ensure when the user is going to unlock a job they do the following:
- Ensure they have one session running. If they are unsure, please log off all sessions and then reload.
- If they are locked within Workshop then please go to: Workshop > Jobs > Amend Job > Search the job number and once within the job, press the Exit button. This will release the lock.
- If they are locked within the Parts department, they should access through: Parts > Sales > Workshop Issues > Search the job number and once within the job, press the Exit button. This will release the lock.
If you have attempted all steps above and still find that the job is locked, please contact support who will be able to assit further.
