📝 'Invalid Stock Xml - The download of the specified resource has failed' - How do I resolve this?

Question

If when issuing parts to a workshop job you are greeted with an 'Invalid Stock Xml' error message, how do I resolve this?

Answer

This may be due to invalid symbols within the part description field like the replacement character '�' or due to users copying a pasting text from an invoice etc.

To resolve this issue, the user would need to amend the part description, removing the text within the description field and manually re-entering with the correct text. 

The user can either do this in the workshop issues screen by selecting the part line and clicking view part:

This will load the part card, where you can select amend and edit the relevant description field:

Or the user may go into Parts > Maintenance > Create/Amend > Search the part number select amend and edit the description field:
