MOTs that expired during the lockdown from March 30th 2020 have been extended by six months.

We have been working with the DVLA to support the Vehicle Enquiry Service (VES) which updates the MOT expiry dates directly. This free service will be great for ensuring MOT dates are maintained correctly going forward as well as other exciting services in the future.

It will require you to apply for VES lookup credentials. To take advantage of this, please register with the DVLA below, you will need to register only once for your entire business, and advise us once you have received credentials using the link below so that we can enable the service free of charge.

If you haven't already, we suggest you register as soon as possible as it can take up to five days for a response.

Step 1: Register for VES credentials (can take up to five days for a response)

Step 2: Send your VES Code to Pinewood for setup

To assist you further, Pinewood can automatically extend MOT expiry dates for all affected vehicles by six months, if you'd like us to do this please let us know here.
