How can I create a sales opportunity via Showroom.
Answer
A sales opportunity can be created quickly by selecting either Walk In or Telephone from the My Work section of Showroom.
Select either Walk In or Telephone, this then allows a customer search, enter any criteria for the customer search and press Enter on the keyboard.
Any customers that meet the criteria will be displayed, if the customer needs to be created click New Customer at the bottom of the screen.
After pressing New Customer the following window is displayed
The customer name can be entered manually, if this is done then this will populate the correct fields with the name e.g. Mr Joe Smith, would populate the following fields automatically.
The window above can be viewed by clicking on the Full Name label.
When entering the customer’s telephone numbers, the field will default to the Telephone, to change this to the Mobile, Work or Fax, click on the arrow next to the Telephone label and select the relevant number, alternatively, click on the Telephone label and the following window will be displayed, allowing all numbers to be entered.
To enter the address click on the Address label or the magnifying glass to use te postcode lookup facility.
The following window will be displayed, enter the postcode and press the Magnifying glass button.
Complete the address and press Accept. Alternatively, the address can be entered directly into the address field and Pinewood DMS will put the data into the correct fields.
These details will also be used to record any activities that are completed as part of today's contact.
Once all of the contact fields have been completed, press Create New Opportunity.
The customer has now been created and the Sales Opportunity has been logged.
The screen above shows the different activities that are available, if they have been completed the bar on the right hand side of that section will turn green. Each section of the customer record has its own context menu, the menu will display the different options that are available for that section
