How do I detach a vehicle from a customer?
Answer
To detach a vehicle record from a customer record in CRM you will need to:
1) Go to the Vehicles tab of the CRM Record and click 'Amend' on the record you would like to remove
2) Click into the Owner/Driver/Keeper box
- This will bring up details of the current Owner/Driver/Keeper, you can change just one of these if you need to by clicking on the respective box. For instance changing the owner to a finance company.
3) Click clear, then accept
4) Finally click save to save the vehicle record.
When searching for either the customer or the vehicle from now on, these will be separate.
If you did need to re-attach these, you can just repeat the process however adding in the customer instead of clearing.
