How do I restore a deleted CRM record?

Answer

If you need to restore a deleted Customer record, you go to:

CRM > Customer Database > Amendments Audit

In this screen you fill in the following fields:

Company Structure: Where you need to select a Branch, Division or department.

Date From/To: In these fields you can only search by a date range that doesn’t exceed 31 days, the date that the deletion took place must be in this range.

Amended By:  If you know which user deleted the record, if not leave as β€˜All’ and this will search all users.

Amendment Type: Using the drop down menu change this to β€˜Deletions’.

Customer Name/Reg Number: If you know either the name of the customer or registration of the vehicle you can enter it here.

For the fill boxes next to User Amendments and Data Cleanse Amendments you need fill whichever type of deletion it was. For an individual deletion tick user amendments or through CRM > Processing > Data cleanse you need to click data cleanse amendments.

When you click the Generate button it will bring a list of deleted CRM records in the date range you set. There is a column with restore date, if it is not populated the record is still deleted. Double click on the CRM record you wish to restore and the following pop up should appear.

In the pop-up there will be a Restore button you click to recover the record. Now it will give you a date in the restore date column next to that record and the CRM record will be available again.

Only records that have been deleted in the last 48 hours can be restored.
