How do I add a test drive via CRM?
Answer
A test drive can be recorded by going to the Desired Vehicle screen of the Customer Record
and selecting the Test Drive button.
Users will nee to enter the stock or registration number of a stock vehicle, which will display the closest matches, as shown below.
If the vehicle to be test driven is not in stock, click on Add β this will allow the details to be
entered using vehicle price list information.
Click Accept to save the vehicle details.
The New/Used field will be available if the customer is not already a Sales Opportunity. The
Contact Reason will use the default that has been set in parameters, but can be changed if
necessary at this point.
Upon clicking Accept, the test drive declaration can be printed. If a Sales Opportunity exists, the routine will record contact history with an activity of βDemoβ. Therefore, unless specifically required, there is no need to add further contact history to record the activity. In the event that there is no opportunity open, on completion of this process, a Sales Opportunity is opened and a demo activity recorded, again avoiding the need to manually create the contact history record.
