Selections are not available in Mailshots, how can I amend this?
Answer
When creating a mailshot you will need a selection to create the mailshot with.
If you have created a selection and have gone to CRM > Processing > Letters > Mailshots and the selection is not showing the reason for this is explained below.
For example; you have created a selection that is of all vehicles that have an owner and a registration number as you want to send a letter to all vehicle owners (saved as Owned Vehicles), as below:
You would then go to CRM > Processing > Letters > Mailshots to create the mailshot, however it will not show.
The reason this does not show is because a Mailshot requires a βCustomerβ searchable field to be in the selection, not just a βVehicleβ searchable field as the mailshot requires a Customer to send the information to, not a Vehicle.
To rectify this, go back to the saved selection and add a searchable field that will include the customerβs details:
And then re-save this selection.
This will then show as an available Selection in the Mailshots screen:
You can then complete the mailshot as normal.
