Sometimes when trying to take payments the Card Terminal will say ‘Unexpected Log In ID’.
This usually means that at some point a user has logged into the terminal, this is indicated if the terminal says ‘New TXN’ as well as ‘Unexpected Log In ID’.
Terminal’s should not be logged into unless necessary, Pay + should automatically send the payment to the terminal when the payment is initialised from the app without the terminal needing to be logged in.
To rectify this the user can press 4 and ‘Enter’ on the Terminal, this will then log the machine off. Then the user should reboot the terminal by holding down the red button until it starts beeping, letting go and this should shut down. Leave it off for 30 seconds and then hold down the green button to restart.
Once it is back on the user should be able to initialise a payment from Pay + as normal and the terminal will register this without needing a log in.
