The category field on the part record can be used as a way of grouping selected parts
together for reporting purposes.
Before a category can be added to a part record, it must be created. Category creation can
take place either within the part record when selecting the category field or within the
categories screen.
Select ‘Add’ within the Category Maintenance Screen and the window below is shown.
The Category code can be created along with a description.
Once created, the code can be added to a part record through Create/Amend.
