It is possible to upload a list of Parts Sales Discount Codes to a Parts Department where no
current sales discount structure exists.
Parts > Parameters > Sales Discounts > Standard - Percentages Tab
Within this screen select βImport Codesβ. If this is shown as grey then there are existing Sales
discount codes within the department and the import of codes cannot be used.
The import file will need to be a .csv file; this should contain a list of discount codes as either a single row or a single column.
There must also be no spaces between the codes, as this will be treated as the end of the codes to be imported.
After successfully importing the codes the option to export and import, percentages will then be available.
Export Percentages
After selecting the relevant product group, counter type and vehicle type (if applicable) and
sales discount group, the existing sales table is displayed and can be exported. This can be
saved to a folder and opened in Excel 2013.
With Excel, you can add your discount percentages. You can add a range of discount values
from 100 to -100 into the cells.
Any cells left blank and it will be imported as a zero value.
You cannot add any Sales Discount codes or work outside of the four order type columns, the rest if the sheet is protected and cannot be amended.
With any amendments made the table can be saved ready for import.
Import Percentages
Having completed any amendments to the exported file this can now be saved and imported
back into Pinnacle.
Only the amended file for the product group, counter type, vehicle type and discount group
that was originally exported can be imported.
Having successfully imported the file, the discount percentages will be updated.
